My article "Hello to Hangzhou" appeared on the front page of today's editon of The Honolulu Star-Advertiser's Sunday Travel Section. Despite time and modernization, many of Marco Polo's descritpions of 13th century Hangzhou ring true today, and reflect that Polo may have indeed been more of a poet than any of us realized.
